EASITECH’s **Gloview LICT** system can be used for real-ball detection in interactive pickleball wall applications. Our latest demonstration shows a participant hitting a pickleball towards a projected wall with a paddle, while the LICT system registers the interaction and displays detection feedback on the test interface.
**Gloview LICT (Laser Image Calibration Technology) is a touch detection system built around an infrared camera and an infrared laser module.** This demonstration shows how EASITECH’s LICT technology can support pickleball interaction, providing a practical foundation for wall-based digital sports experiences.
A dedicated pickleball game from **Gloview Games** is also coming soon.

The video demonstrates hardware positioning, automatic calibration and real pickleball detection using EASITECH’s Gloview LICT technology.
*Gloview LICT pickleball detection demonstration by EASITECH, including installation, automatic calibration and real-ball testing.*
The video was recorded in our office using a real paddle and a yellow pickleball. It begins with an introduction to the LICT hardware arrangement and setup, followed by calibration and repeated ball-detection testing.
During the test, the participant repeatedly hits the ball towards the projected wall. Detection marks appear on the test interface, showing consistent recognition during the demonstrated sequence.
For AV integrators and interactive sports developers, the demonstration addresses a practical question: can a real pickleball serve as an input for projected interactive content? The Gloview LICT setup shown here demonstrates this capability.
Inside the Gloview LICT Demonstration Setup
The demonstrated Gloview LICT configuration uses a **100 frames-per-second infrared camera** and an **infrared laser module**, working with a computer and a projector.
In this installation:
- The projector displays the test interface on the wall.
- The LICT infrared camera is mounted on the projector.
- The LICT infrared laser module is positioned near the upper middle of the projection area, with spacing from the wall.
- The computer runs the LICT software and detection test interface.
The 100 fps figure describes the camera used in this demonstration. It is a camera specification, not a measured ball-detection success rate.
The practical result is visible in the test: physical pickleball interaction is registered by the LICT system and represented on screen.
LICT Module Positioning and Automatic Calibration
The video explains an important installation detail for this application: the LICT infrared laser module is spaced away from the wall, using a spacer behind it.
In the demonstrated arrangement, our representative describes the module-to-wall spacing as matching the diameter of the pickleball. For a new project, the mounting position and measurement reference should be confirmed with EASITECH’s technical team for the selected equipment and playing surface.
The video then shows **automatic calibration in the LICT software** before the paddle-and-ball test begins.
This setup sequence gives integrators a practical view of the preparation involved: position the LICT components, complete calibration and check detection with the ball intended for use.
From Ball Detection to Interactive Pickleball Content
An interactive pickleball wall combines physical paddle-and-ball play with digital content that responds to detected input.
Gloview LICT provides the detection capability demonstrated in this video. The connected software determines what happens next, such as displaying visual feedback or applying the rules of an interactive activity.
For developers, possible content directions include projected target challenges, placement activities and recreational scoring experiences. These are examples of potential applications; the confirmed features of our upcoming game will be introduced with its release.
The current video focuses on LICT ball detection. The projected interface is a test tool rather than the finished pickleball game.
Coming Soon: A Pickleball Game from Gloview Games
EASITECH is preparing a dedicated pickleball game under **Gloview Games**, bringing the demonstrated LICT interaction capability into a playable experience.
This gives project teams two related areas to discuss with us:
- **Gloview LICT hardware:** evaluating pickleball detection for an interactive wall project.
- **Gloview Games software:** learning more about the upcoming dedicated pickleball game.
Further gameplay demonstrations and configuration details will be shared with the game’s release.
If you are planning an interactive sports area, you can contact EASITECH now to discuss your installation and request updates about the upcoming game.
Planning a Pickleball Wall Installation
A pickleball projection project needs to account for the LICT configuration, projection equipment, software and physical playing area.
To help us assess your requirements, please share:
- The dimensions and material of the intended wall or screen.
- The available playing area and player-to-wall distance.
- Photos or drawings of the installation space.
- The ball and paddle you plan to use.
- Any existing projector and computer equipment.
- Whether you are evaluating LICT hardware for your own content or are interested in the upcoming Gloview Games pickleball game.
The playing surface should be suitable for repeated ball impacts. The layout should provide room for paddle swings and ball rebound, with the LICT components and projection equipment positioned appropriately.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Gloview LICT detect a real pickleball?
Yes. The demonstration shows a real pickleball being hit towards a projected wall, with visible detection feedback from the Gloview LICT system. The configuration and installation should be confirmed for each project.
